  • We have two pickup and drop off locations to choose from.

    In Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver. We will meet on the public loading dock. (It is attached to the pier across from the town/restaurants below the red/white building)

    In Snug Cove, Bowen Island. We will meet at the USSC loading area (United Steam Ship Marina) This is the far right dock as you come down the USSC ramp.

    You will know you’ve found us when you see the Bahama Blue Boat!

  • We recommend that you dress in layers. The cooling effect of being on the water along with wind shear can add a chill even on sunny mid summer days.

    If you plan on swimming, please adorn your skivies prior to boarding.

    Wind breakers can make a big difference. Please also consider sunglasses and a hat to keep out the UV rays.

  • A bluetooth enabled stereo is available onboard all of our vessels. Please ask your captain to put on some tunes, or feel free to DJ your own selection from your own bluetooth device.

  • Ocean weather can be significantly different than on land and forecasts can change quickly. We will cancel bookings due to excessive winds (15 +knts) or predicted heavy rain events.

    This is a pleasure tour after all and adverse weather can dampen the mood.

    All reservations cancelled by us will be refunded in full or rescheduled at no additional fee.

  • The INGs Ransom Does feature a basic head (toilet) in the V-berth for emergency purposes.

  • Our qualified captains always do their best to ensure a calm smooth ride however, waves are a reality. The waters of Howe Sound can often include wind swept waves and large ferry wakes, but do not receive tidal swells. If you have experienced sea sickness before, you know that it’s no treat, and that you can expect it again.

    If you have concerns about motion sickness, please remember to bring any nausea medication that you have found effective.

  • Life preservers for every person are a mandatory safety item aboard all commercial vessels in Canada. If you choose to wear one, it will be made available to you.

  • All activities and programs are subject to the signing of a waiver. If guests do not accept the terms of our release agreement they won’t be able to participate in the excursion and will receive a full refund. A copy of our waiver can be found here. You will be asked to sign a waiver on the dock before leaving for the tour.

  • All Reddings boat captains are certified by Transport Canada as Small commercial Vessel Operators. This involves over 60 hours of study! Learn more about that here.

  • Gibsons, Home of the legendary Molly’s Reach is a stop as part of our Sunset Tour. There you will find an assortment of dining options including Lunitas Mexican eatery, Smitty’s Oyster House, Buono Osteria (Great Pizza). Let us know if you would like us to make reservations.
